The Ministry of Education (MoE) has engaged Cognition Education (Cognition) to deliver the ‘Gifted and Talented Education’ contract.
The broad objective of the contract pertaining to the development of the Planning and Implementation Toolkit is to:

  • Provide practical support to schools in the planning and implementation of school based Gifted and Talented programmes through the collation and sharing of resources from a wide variety of national and international sources.

Target Areas

  • All of New Zealand

Target Group

  • Educators: teachers, principals and professional leaders

The major objectives of the Identification Toolkit are to:

  • Provide teachers with a range of quality assured tools that can be used to identify Gifted and Talented students
  • Provide schools with support to use these tools in appropriate and effective ways

This module will be quality assured by Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) faculty
