Developing leadership in ICTs PDF Print

In 2007-8, Cognition was contracted by the Ministry of Education to provide professional development for school leaders in effective leadership and planning for ICT.

 

This entailed the presentation of two workshops by Cognition to 16 clusters of schools in 10 regions

The aims of the project were to:

  • create excitement for the potential of ICTs in education
  • support the development of a vision for ICT developments at school and cluster level, through alignment with strategic plans and the associated implementation of the new curriculum
  • focus on translating a vision for learning into strategic goals, then into robust short and medium term plans for ICT supported learning and administration
  • maintain a focus throughout on the professional learning needs associated with these developments.
