ICT Enriched: Enhancing Practice Through ICTs PDF Print

Students will be:
●    working individually and collaboratively in more flexible classroom spaces  (.pdf)
●    becoming independent users of ICTs
●    using selected ICTs in most units of learning in focused and effective ways
●    using ICTs to support inquiry based learning, problem solving using problem solving tools, thinking skills, and critical thinking skills.
●    using ICTs to collaborate, communicate  with other students within and beyond the school and take part in webquests and virtual field trips
●    using ICTs as a key part of project based learning
●    presenting their work using ICTs
●    using ICTs which enable input and critique by other students and their teachers
●    using ICTs as part of formative assessment for learning
●    using ICTs to collect evidence of learning and record performance to help them reflect on what they have learned and to set goals for future learning.
●    acting safely and responsibly online

Teachers will be:
●    setting achievable professional learning goals for themselves
●    sharing learning with colleagues and trying new pedagogical approaches, including ICT enriched approaches in their classrooms
●    using ICTs to link learning to the real-world
●    joining online and face-to-face professional learning communities
●    engaging in a range of professional learning opportunities which increase ICT skills and confidence and help them meet their professional learning goals
●    actively teaching thinking skills
●    ensuring that any use of technologies takes place within a pedagogical framework which helps students learn, including acknowledging the importance of language for learning
●    using ICTs to provide feedback to students
●    storing assessment data electronically
●    using ICTs as a tool to support increasingly differentiated learning
●    collecting evidence of innovative uses of ICT in a digital professional portfolio
●    designing learning experiences that use ICTs to cater for different learning needs and interests eg through cooperative activities and projects which provide some choice for students
●    storing, managing, manipulating and creating resources and teaching plans and sharing these with each other and with students
