For men at school, a business suit with tie is mandatory. Cognition is known for its high standard of dress. In public, it pays to dress conservatively to respect local custom and not attract attention to yourself. 3/4 pants for both men and women and a t-shirt is a safe bet. It is a conservative society and the school staff and principals expect these standards of dress, and compliance is a condition of your contract. You do not need to veil or wear an abaya (a black over garment) but many, if not all, of the school staff will do so especially in the presence of men.
